Shipping and Returns

1. Shipping rates & costs

Our web site will calculate shipping for US orders.  When multiple shipping options are available  (depending on the weight or type of items selected) it will offer a selection of shipping options and their costs from which to select.

Shipping insurance is applied to orders of items of high value.  We require insurance on domestic and international orders valued $200 and over.

Insurance prices are per US Postal Service rates (which USPS updates here).

International orders require a shipping quote to their destination counrty before making payment.

2. Shipping methods and delivery times

All orders are shipped in 1-2 business days.  Orders placed over the weeken ship the following Monday.

We ship by United States Postal Service for almost all orders.  In circumstances involving heavy parcels, we may opt for a different carrier.

If you would like to ship on your own carrier account, please contact us to make arrangements.

Delivery times will depend on the carrier used and upon the shipping service offered (eg. Priority mail, First class, or Media mail for domestic parcels). 

Typical USPS delivery times are: Priority Mail 2-3 days, 1st class 5-7 days, Media mail 7-14 days.

Express shipping is available for domestic and international orders upon request.

 

3. Shipping restrictions

We offer domestic services to all US states and territories, and international services to limited destinations including:

Australia, Canada, Great Britain, Germany, Holland, Japan, and  Switzerland.

For shipping to countries not on this list, please contact us.

When necessary, we may require items in an order to ship seperately.  For example, a rolled poster and a phonograph record are incompatible for combined shipping.

 

4. Missing or lost packages

In some cases, shipping delays can account for a missing parcel.  Our parcels include domestic tracking by United Stated Parcel Service (USPS).  If you have your tracking number, you can search for it at usps.com.  If you do not have it, we can provide it, and its current tracking status.

Customers take the risk for loss or damge to parcels valued under $200.00 after dispatch unless optional shipping insurance is puchased.  ALL orders over $200.00 value are insured for shipping with mandatory insurance at checkout.

 

5. International shipping

We offer international shipping to a limited number of countries. International customers must request a shipping rate before making payment. We will weigh your selections and email you a shipping options quote providing you with the available options.  Upon your shipping selection, we will invoice and process your order.

Unless other arrangements are made, parcels ship by United Stated Parcel Service (USPS).

Purchasers are responsible for their country's customs and import duties, international taxes, charges, and any additional fees.

 

6. Return and exchange information

All items are 100% guaranteed authentic and in their advertised condition. If for any reason you have concerns or questions about your order please contact us.

You must contact before returning an item. Returned items must be in the exact condition in which you received them and not altered in any way.  Any original item packaging and the original shipping packaging are required.

If we have made an error requiring a return, we will issue a full refund, including all original and return shipping costs.  In cases of customer error (wrong item ordered, no longer needed, etc.) shipping costs are paid by the buyer.

7.  About our packing and shipping materials

We take care when packing your items for shipping.  Parcels containing LPs and 45s include additional interior carboard padding to prevent bending and edge damage.  In most cases we will remove a record from its original cover, inner sleeve, or picture sleeve (for 45s) to prevent impact splitting.  Sealed items are reinforced at sides to prevent seam splits due to impact during shipping.

Our outer packaging is almost always cardboard (mailers or tubes) which is sealed with moisture activated glue-back fiber reinforce paper tape to provide additional strength. When a jiffy pad mailer is used (rarely) we will add additional cardboard reinforcement to avoid damage to CD and DVD cases) .

Posters are shipped in tubes unless the item is advertised as a folded item and can shipped flat.

We use eco-friendly and environment friendly packaging whenever possible.  We may implement the use of reused materials such as flats, boxes, bubble mailers, or tubes.
